Abstract
												Most plaintiff claims that had merit were settled. Although hope continues for tort reform, uniform capitation of noneconomic awards, and contingency fees, it should be noted that 119 claims, more than 40%, were considered either not defensible by defendants or had merit for the plaintiff.
