Abstract
Homeopathy is a medical doctrine that had its heyday in the Barcelona of the 19th century. Introduced in the last century by Fèlix Janer i Bertran in Catalonia, it was followed by many doctors convinced of the goodness of the treatments. Some practitioners had outstanding teaching activities, both by publishing articles in various homeopathic journals and in the organization of institutions where the practitioners of this specialty met, as is the case of the Homeopathic Academy of Barcelona created 125 years ago. In this article, a review is presented on the most important biographical aspects of the most prestigious homeopaths in Catalonia that have been incorporated in the Gallery of Catalan Doctors, such as Joaquim Hysern i Molleras, Joan Sanllehy i Metges, Salvi Almató i Ribera, Claudi Tricaz i Arnillas, Joan Solé i Pla, Enric Peiró i Rando, Modest Furest i Roca, and Miquel Ramis i Matas.
