Abstract
One in every five patients uses homeopathy alongside traditional treatment in severe pathologies. However, admission to hospital can put an end to the therapeutic choices of the patient. Here, hospitals can usefully call on homeopath physicians who, to be effective, will need a pragmatic approach, an open mind, an ability to dialogue and specific training. If Arsenicum album is the medicine most often prescribed, Aceticum acidum, Cadmium sulfuricum, Muriaticum acidum, Tarentula cubensis are also very useful for accompanying patients at the end of their life. The lack of side effects and medication interaction, the speed and reliability of its therapeutic action, the user friendly presentation and its very low cost, make homeopathy the complementary medicine of choice for palliative care.
