Abstract
Half of all rhinitis cases are allergic in origin. Diagnosis is carried out on the basis of a detailed medical history, clinical and ENT examination, skin tests and biology if necessary. Associated asthma must be tested for. In cases of atypical symptoms or persistant rhinitis for which no allergic origin has been found, it is necessary to look for other causes. The chosen therapy will take into account the classification, as well as the patient's demands and the doctor's experience. Homeopathy has its place alongside conventional treatments.
