Abstract
Hahnemann wrote about the development of homeopathy in his Organon, reworked six times between 1810 and 1842. These six German editions are reviewed and in particular the last edition which was not published until 1921 based on a copy of the original text. This 6th edition is studied in detail, as it contains Hahnemann's last instructions and served as the basis for later translations, notably into French. The enigma of the French version of the 6th edition, which should have been published in 1843, is discussed.
