This report is of a patient with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma arising in the submandibular gland. A 57-year-old woman presented with a swelling in the right submandibular region. Clinically, the mass was elastic, hard and painless, but did not adhere to the skin and mandible. Ultrasonography, computed tomography scanning, and magnetic resonance imaging showed the lesion to be round and well circumscribed, but poorly enhanced by contrast media, suggesting chronic sclerosing sialadenitis of the submandibular gland. However, after resection of the mass, the lesion was diagnosed as a malignant lymphoma arising in the submandibular gland, which was classified as a diffuse large B-cell type based on histopathological and immunohistochemical findings. Three years after treatment with chemotherapy, the patient is tumour-free.
