Abstract
In the light of current guidelines and of the vast experience acquired in about thirty years of clinical activity, the diagnostic process and the current systematic therapeutic protocol of the most frequent clinical TMJ dysfunctions are presented both from a gnathologic and surgical perspective, with an aim to leading the dentist towards a conscious choice of the most appropriate method of treatment.
