Abstract
Even though acetaminophen and codeine have been described as safe analgesic drugs to be prescribed after oral surgery procedures, it is fundamental to accurately evaluate the patient's medical history before prescription. Patients should always be informed about the risk of developing adverse reactions, related to allergies or idiosyncrasies, when taking drugs sporadically or for the first time.
