Abstract
If not recognized nor properly managed, odontogenic infections may seriously affect the patient's health. A correct diagnostic classification and a targeted and effective medical therapy are fundamental steps to forestall the onset of antibiotic resistances. In fact, these could increase patient's morbidity and mortality as well as jeopardize the medical therapy outcome.
