Accountability involves appropriateness of use and adequate examination/ evaluation of such substances, as well as suitable forecasting/management of their effects together with identification of areas of variability and of all the unavoidable clinical and medicolegal repercussions. The more one knows about drugs and legislative provisions, the fewer pertinent clinical and medicolegal problems will arise. Moreover, this will result in a higher therapeutic efficiency.
