Abstract
The few available data were not sufficient to identify standardized protocols for the treatment of odontogenic myxomas. However, due to the significant incidence of recurrences after conservative surgical treatment, the most reliable therapy seems to be an “en bloc” resection which includes the tumor and healthy surrounding soft and hard tissues to provide reliable safety margins, thus reducing the likelihood of recurrences, as shown in the described clinical case.
