Abstract
Early diagnosis of malignant oral lesions has a key-role in determining their prognosis. A conscious and critical attitude is mandatory to avoid diagnostic and therapeutic errors. Moreover, suspicious or doubtful cases should be immediately referred to specialized clinical settings, in order to optimize the management of their diagnostic and therapeutic plan.
