Abstract
The probability of encountering an artery 2-3Â mm in diameter or more is about 5%. Cone beam computed tomography coronal slice allows a smooth detection of the artery and its diameter. Piezoelectric surgery is a safe approach to both the artery and the Schneiderian membrane, lowering the risk of bleeding and perforation: vessel can be easily isolated and dissected free prior to floor elevation and completion of the procedure.
