Abstract
Professional subject and role of the woman dentist with her specific characteristics toward both patients and her own family were considered. The Authors evaluated the most common pathological conditions of the oral cavity occurring more frequently, or with particular characteristics, especially in adolescent and senile age, although not exclusively affecting the female gender. Specific problems in pregnant and breast-feeding women were thoroughly examined with a focus on effective steps to be taken and the use of drugs.
