Mediation is still too young to produce results of a kind that might enable us to evaluate its true significance. It definitely represents a great challenge. The mediator helps the parties to reason beyond their personal situations and interests, and to reach a peaceful agreement, by arriving at mutually acceptable settlement for the dispute, by saving resources, time and money.
