Abstract
None of the patients who underwent surgery experienced intraoperative- or postoperative complications. Surgical extraction of the supernumerary tooth eliminates the risk of complications such as root resorption involving adjacent teeth, delayed eruption of permanent teeth, dental crowding, and the development of odontogenic cysts.
