Abstract
The use of wide and articulated tobacco control policies is necessary in order to reduce the social and financial burden of oral tobacco-related disease. Currently there are already available effective treatments in prevention and smoking cessation, but need improvements. Dentists can be of great help by providing a unique environment of efficacy in prevention and cessation of smoking.
