Abstract
Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a malignant salivary gland neoplasm. Histologically the tumour is composed of mucus secreting cells, epidermoid cells and intermediate cells. The presence of clear cells is rare in a mucoepidermoid carcinoma and makes it difficult to distinguish from other clear cell tumours. A case of clear cell variant of mucoepidermoid carcinoma affecting the palate of a 50 year old female is presented here composed chiefly of clear cells which are a rare finding, with special stains.
