Abstract
Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a hereditary disorder that includes a complicated group of developmental alterations in the structure of enamel. AI is caused by mutations in genes that control amelogenesis and follows inheritance patterns of autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive or X-linked modes of transmission AI may cause tooth sensitivity, loss of vertical dimension, dysfunction and poor esthetics. This case report describes oral rehabilitation of a young adult male patient diagnosed with hypoplastic amelogenesis imperfecta to restore function, esthetics and improvement of oral health related quality of life.
