Abstract

Salivary gland tumors are estimated to represent approximately 3% of all of the head and neck tumors. About 70–80% of these neoplasms occur in major salivary glands, with the parotid gland being the most common affected site. Usually they are found as solitary (unique) unilateral, firm and mobile, slow growing asymptomatic nodules. We report a case of pleomorphic adenoma of parotid salivary gland in a 12-year-old male patient.
