Abstract
The gummy smile defect has always been a challenge to solve. If in childhood an orthodontic approach is correct, only two ways are available for adults: medical (botox) or surgical. The innovative approach of combining several techniques of the past for the gummy smile surgical therapy in adults scores a winning goal in terms of quickness in reaching the results, low morbidity, and down-time for the patient and nowadays it is seems to be the only way to get stable results.
