Abstract
The implant-supported milled bar overdenture is an interesting treatment alternative for totally edentulous patients with moderate to severe mandibular atrophy. It is far less expensive than a fixed implant-supported prosthesis and it offers similar stability and retention. From a surgical point of view, the position of the implants is less critical for the esthetic outcome than it is with implant-supported porcelain prostheses.
