Abstract
Inadequate restorations and selection of dental materials in some cases predispose patients to barotrauma. To prevent barotrauma-related damages on the teeth, it is important to maintain good-quality restorations and avoid trapping air beneath them. Dentists and patients who are exposed to barometric stress as part of their jobs or hobbies should know the causes of barotrauma and be aware of the importance of routine dental checkups to avoid barotrauma-related dental problems.
