Abstract
This case report describes orthodontic treatment of a 20-year-old female patient having a high-angle Class I malocclusion with severe anterior crowding and a convex soft tissue profile. In this case, orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning has been based on “soft tissue paradigm”. The preadjusted edgewise appliances were placed after the upper and lower first premolars were extracted. After active treatment, a good facial profile and occlusion were achieved. Occlusion remained stable during 2 years of follow-up.
