Abstract
Extensive primary and recurrences tumors in the head and neck region require salvage surgery procedure. It involves the removal of large neoplastic lesions and supplying local defects. The purpose of reconstructive surgery is to achieve maximal functionality and aesthetics results of reconstructed organ. Anterolateral free thigh flap is the most common flap used in reconstructive surgery. The possibility of using anterolateral thigh flap including indications, contraindications and the risk occurrence of local complications was presented upon the latest reports available in the literature and our own experience.
