Abstract
Iatrogenic defects after resective surgery significantly disturb the functioning of organs. Properly planned surgical procedure includes concurrent defects reconstruction as well as preserves the acceptable quality of life. Selection criteria include reconstruction techniques to achieve maximum functionality and aesthetics of the operated area. Based on the latest review available in the literature and our own experience the possibility for closure of defects with forearm free flap was presented. A group of patients with advanced oral cavity and pharynx cancer were treated with extensive surgical procedure.
