Aim of this study was to present, on a base of current literature, the current review of etiology, pathogenesis, diversity of clinical picture and course of disease, pointing out a polyautoimmunity of Sjőgren's syndrome. The review of actual therapeutic options as well as a future perspective In this matter was discussed. The criteria of current primary and secondary Sjőgren's syndrome classification was presented. The proper, early diagnosis, with taking into account an adverse prognostic factors, may influence the treatment plans, influencing the course of disease.
