Abstract
The aim of a successful dental bleaching is to achieve a satisfactory degree of whiteness without provoking unpleasant side effects, such as acute tooth sensitivity. For that reason, bleaching must be regarded as a true intervention that requires a careful patients selection and a thorough understanding of the procedures involved. Dental bleaching is being requested more and more frequently, so high-level professionalism among operators must be promoted.
