Abstract
												Histoid leprosy is a clinical entity that must be clearly differentiated through its clinical and histopathological features, which distinguish it from polar lepromatous leprosy. There may be a genetic predisposition to this clinical leprosy form, but this requires confirmation by genetic studies.
