Abstract
Omalizumab reduced IgE-stimulated synthesis and secretion of proinflammatory cytokines by human ASMCs. These findings imply a beneficial action of omalizumab in asthma therapy. This effect is not restricted to inflammatory cells; it also includes tissue-forming cells.
