Dermatophytose extensive et inflammatoire infantile due à Trichophyton rubrum

RésuméNous rapportons une observation de dermatophytose extensive atypique à Trichophyton rubrum associée à une candidose palmaire et unguéale des doigts chez une jeune patiente de 13 ans présentant des lésions cutanées inflammatoires, une atteinte de cuir chevelu, ainsi qu’une onychodystrophie totale des orteils et un périonyxis des mains. Les résultats de l’examen mycologique montrent la présence de filaments mycéliens et un parasitisme pilaire. La culture a permis de poser le diagnostic de certitude de l’atteinte dermatophytique à T. rubrum et celle candidosique à Candida albicans. Le succès thérapeutique de cette dermatomycose est obtenu grâce à l’administration d’antifongiques par voie orale.

SummaryWe report an observation of extensive and atypical dermatophytosis to Trichophyton rubrum coexisting with fingernails and tinea manuum candidiasis in a 13-year-old girl presenting inflammatory cutaneous lesions, involvement of scalp, as well as total dystrophic onychomycosis of feet associated with a perionyxis of hands. The results of the mycological examination of specimen showed fungal elements of septate hyphae and pilar parasitism. The fungal culture allowed the diagnosis of certainty of the dermatophytosis to T. rubrum. The therapeutic success of this infection was obtained thanks to the administration of antifungals by oral route.
