Abstract
In our environment, women are more frequently diagnosed with melanoma than men. The mean age at diagnosis is approximately 55 years and is higher in men. The mean Breslow score shows that men have thicker tumors than women. The sentinel node was positive in 15% of the patients who underwent this investigation. Men showed a higher percentage of positivity. Most of the patients with a positive sentinel node showed a Breslow thickness of more than 3Â mm.
