Abstract
B K Virus (BKV) is associated with a range of clinical syndromes in renal transplant recipients. These include ureteral ulceration and stenosis, hemorrhagic cystitis and nephropathy. BK virus nephropathy is the active infection of the renal allograft associated with progressive loss of graft function. The clinical presentation and the histological findings may be similar to graft rejection. The differentiation of these two conditions are of utmost importance as their management is completely different.
