Abstract
We report a case of women with virilization caused by the an androgen-producing lipoid-cell tumor of the ovary, a rarely described entity in the literature. The steroid cell tumor can be benign or frankly malignant. This elderly lady had the benign counterpart and recovered successfully of her endometrial hyperplasia, hirsutism and hoarseness of voice after open surgical removal of her pelvic ovarian tumor.
