Abstract
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common hormonal disorder affecting women and has reproductive, metabolic, cardiovascular health implication across the life span. Insulin resistance in PCOS has been considered main etiological factor for major health related consequences. In order to control the vicious cycle of this syndrome and better understanding of pathogenesis, an outburst of research has occurred in this field. More research in genetics and environmental factors are needed to underscore preventive strategies.
