Abstract
Breast Cancers are second only to cervical cancers in the Indian women. Over the years it has been proved that early detection can reduce mortality, morbidity, and improve quality of life. Mammography using X-rays has proved to be a boon in early detection and recent advances in technology have made it a very safe and reliable modality for screening of asymptomatic women and women at risk for developing cancer to pick up malignancy at a very early stage.
