Abstract
Preterm labour remains the leading cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity. Prevention and treatment of preterm labour is important, not as an and in itself, but as a means of reducing adverse events for the child. Management of preterm labour should be individualized and tailored for each case. In this article, we review advances in prediction, prevention and management of preterm labour with regard to the levels of evidence.
