Laparoscopy has a very wide application in the field of infertility. Over the last two decades it has undergone rapid advances in technique and presently it provides very good results in terms of pregnancy rates and success rates of assisted reproduction techniques, which usually follow the surgery. Different indications of laparoscopic surgery in infertile women are summarized here along with the recent concepts and recommendations. The indications are polycystic ovaries, tubal factors, tubal and adhesion scores, hydrosalpinx, endometriosis, ovarian endometrioma, fibroid uterus. Other diagnostic modalities, transvaginal hydrolaparoscopy, fertiliscopy, salpingoscopy, falloposcopy are discussed here summarizing the indications, technique and limitations.
