Abstract
While many systems and tools for identification and traceability of victims have been developed, their evaluation in real disaster situation, i.e. out of programmed exercises, is still limited. The identification and categorization of each victim, followed by sharing and cross-check of this information among the various intervention agencies involved, are essential to ensure accurate final assessment and traceability of victims. The development of digital tools should improve identification and traceability process, which remain still currently the weak point in the post-immediate phase of the disaster.
