Abstract
The response of prehospital rescue when facing a terrorist attack by shooting is to balance medical issues and tactical considerations. A medical strategy of “damage control” puts early haemostasis, rapid transport and the prevention of coagulopathy at the centre of prehospital concerns. Taking into account the safety of the teams, the interservice organisation and a combination of civilian and military experiences contributes to the efficiency of the prehospital emergency system.
