Abstract
In disaster situations, some patients require general anesthesia or sedation for either analgesic or anxiolytic purposes. In view of the context, standard practices may need to be adapted. This adaptation must take into account the available resources (e.g., oxygen, respirator, and drugs), the nature of the causal event (e.g., explosion or poisoning), and the injuries themselves (hemorrhagic or not). It is necessary to adapt the drugs used to the situation.
