Abstract
BackgroundTo compare the outcomes of the culture positive and the culture negative infected TKA.MethodsWe determined the infection control rate in the 242 patients (140 patients with culture-positive and 102 patients with culture-negative diagnoses) with infected TKAs.ResultsThe overall infection control rate was 90% in the culture positive group and 95% in the culture negative group.InterpretationThe infection control rates and clinical outcomes of infected TKAs was not different between culture-positive and culture-negative groups.
