Abstract
Sub-Saharan Africa's human resources for health are among the most restricted in the world, reducing the ability of countries to provide quality and fair health services to the population. This shortage of health professionals is enhanced by their inadequate distributions between the Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs: diabetes, hypertensionâ¦) and infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosisâ¦). To fill this gap, a regional action involving several countries in West Africa has developed two specific training for the specialized management of endocrine and metabolic diseases.
