Abstract
Psychological insulin resistance is the reluctancy, observed in many type 2 diabetic patients and many doctors, to initiate a treatment by insulin when it proves to be necessary. The aim of this article is to delineate the causes of this phenomenon and to wonder whether an early presentation of insulin as one of the therapeutic options, within the framework of the current individualized guidelines, could not result in transforming the negative perception of insulin into a lever allowing a better adherence.
