Abstract
Bariatric surgery is known to be the most effective and long-lasting treatment for morbid obesity and many related clinical conditions. Nevertheless, it is not possible to operate all eligible patients for safety reasons, especially when serious comorbidities are present. For these patients, noninvasive bariatric procedures can be proposed. These procedures can be used independently of bariatric surgeries to obtain body weight loss. For patients who regain significant weight after weight loss surgery it is also possible to use noninvasive procedures to make a revision of the gastric pouch. These endoscopic procedures decrease the patient's risks of surgical complications. In comparison of bariatric surgeries, patients experience less pain with endoscopic procedures and recover faster.
