Abstract
Ethical questioning in hospital care taking is meant to help choose, among several behavior options, the best one to meet ethical standard in situations where nurses have difficulties to know what they are precisely entitled to act about from ethical viewpoint. We do think conditions under which ethical debate is possibly undertaken are: first, a caretaker has to cast off his own personality, in other words to free himself from psychological specific gravities, self-centeredness, in order to be focused, without any hindering emotional involvement, on a debate in which ethical decisions are at stake; second, he has to improve his field of knowledge for rational discussion based on scientific evidence. Psychological opening out, team solidarity and joint responsibility, knowledge improvement, help enhance ethical nursing standard of efficiency.
