Abstract
The aim of this paper is to review recent scientific data evidencing this association and to analyze the different pathophysiological mechanisms leading to alteration of cognition in old patients with diabetes. We also discuss the potential role of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia in the development of such a cognitive dysfunction.
