Abstract
In conclusion it appears that in obese persons, unsuccessfulness is the rule and success the exception irrespective of the dietary measures used. This does not mean that life-long dietary strategies should be kept away even though they remain a subject of debate; it seems less and less obvious that they have to loom large today.
