Abstract
The prevalence rate of erectile dysfunction was 76.1% and 74.1%, respectively. Putative type 2 diabetes was reported in 84.3% (anamnesis study) and 89.2% of cases (questionnaire IIEF' study), explaining the relatively high mean age in these groups (52.8 and 52.2 years, respectively). Erectile dysfunction was considered minor (28.9%), mild (68.7%), and severe (2.4%) in the “questionnaire IIEF” study. It was not associated with other diabetic complications in 25.6% (anamnesis study) and in 13.3% (questionnaire IIEF' study) of cases and associated with other diabetic complications in 71.9% (anamnesis study) and 86.8% (questionnaire IIEF' study) of cases. A psychological impact of erectile dysfunction was reported for 24.8% (anamnesis study) and 57.8% (questionnaire IIEF' study) of the diabetic patients.
