Abstract
Insulin pumps present with interesting additional features: bolus assistant (BA), alternative bolus shape (ABS), temporary flow rate reduction (TFRR). In a monocentric retrospective survey of 329 patients, we observed that BA is rarely used (16%), as well as ABS (18%), whereas TFRR is routinely used (76%). This may be the consequence of a lack of information, formation and prescription. The metabolic impact of BA and ABS has not been extensively studied, and rare and limited trials do not allow to conclude about the real impact of these pump features.
